Tree and Stump Removal

Tree health is a critical part of any community. In many cases, they dictate more aspects of city planning than people realize. They can be used as markers to help determine when property lines end, or help structure the building of new buildings around or close to it. Aesthetically, healthy trees enrich a community space, offering a green space in a background of grey, but their usefulness does not end at being pretty. Although not providing the most protection against rain, trees are perfect for providing a shady area on hot summer days. Whatever the reason, trees will hopefully remain a part of the community, and hopefully the benefits they give are realized by the people around.

However, these benefits do not extend to dead trees or stumps. Unlike healthy and full trees, decaying trees and stumps can attract a multitude of pests such as fungi and termites, which can easily spread to nearby healthy plants and trees. There is that saying that one bad apple ruins the bunch; well in this case one or two decaying trees can be disastrous for the community and local ecosystem. Decaying trees are also notorious for breaking off, and nothing ruins a day more than a dead tree limb falling on you. Removal of decaying trees helps keep the community healthy and safe.

Likewise, the removal of stumps just makes landscaping easier. Mowing, gardening, and other lawn activities will no longer be hindered by bumpy stumps, allowing for a more efficient and clean job well done. Aesthetically, stumps stick out like pimples on a face, and the removal of these zits not only makes the lawn care easier, but also helps make the finished product look cleaner and neater. Stumps also take up space, space that can be used for new and healthy trees. Removing old stumps and dead trees allows for a birth of new trees to carry on the role of the old, providing fresh air, shade, color, and shape to the previously empty landscape.
